Job Description:

Job Title: German Teacher (IB DP/ MYP)

Location : Pune

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified German teacher to join our IB World School team. The successful candidate will teach German Language and Literature in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and/or Middle Years Programme (MYP). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IB pedagogy and assessment, as well as experience teaching German to students of various ages and proficiency levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach German Language and Literature in the IB DP and/or MYP
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curricula aligned with IB standards
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in IB-related training and professional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate language learning across subjects
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements: 

  • Master's degree in German, Education, or related field
  • Teaching certification or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Experience teaching German as a foreign language
  • Familiarity with IB DP and/or MYP curriculum and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in German, Education, or related field
  • Experience teaching in an IB World School
  • Familiarity with language learning software and technology
  • Experience teaching in a multicultural environment

Desirables: 

  • Understanding of IB pedagogy and assessment
  • Experience with IB internal assessments and external exams
  • Familiarity with IB curriculum and standards
