About Us

Airbotix Technology Pvt. Ltd. is a leading defence technology company specializing in advanced aerial

platforms, including drones, tethered aerostat systems and airships. We are currently executing

contracts under ADITI-2.0 for developing road-mobile tethered aerostat systems with integrated

radar and communication relay capabilities for strategic defence applications.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer to spearhead the design and development of

cutting-edge aerostat systems. This role will drive innovation in lighter-than-air technology, leading

the engineering team in creating robust, mission-critical surveillance and communication platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design of tethered aerostat systems, including envelope design, structural analysis, and payload integration.
  • Develop specifications for aerostat envelopes.
  • Design mooring and ground station systems.
  • Conduct aerodynamic analysis, stability calculations, and environmental performance
    modelling.
  • Lead technical team in prototyping, testing, and validation of aerostat systems.
  • Interface with defence procurement teams and ensure compliance with MoD specifications.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers in aerostat design principles and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from premier institutions (IIT, IISC, IIST, or equivalent).
  • 4-5 years of experience in aerospace design.
  • Experience with aerodynamic analysis tools (ANSYS, CFD software).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Understanding of mooring systems, tether dynamics, and ground station design.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis and composite material applications.

Technical Skills

  • CAD/CAE tools: SolidWorks, ANSYS.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis.
  • Structural analysis and FEA.
  • Materials selection and testing protocols.
  • Systems integration and payload mounting.
  • Project management and technical documentation.
