Position Title: SQA Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Engagement Type: Contract (1 Year)

Position Overview

We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Contract QA Engineer to support testing of Astra-based Linux platforms, including IoT, Edge AI, and MCU products, as well as Android STB/IPTV devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in microcontroller technologies, hands-on experience with embedded systems, and a solid understanding of QA methodologies. Familiarity with Reference Design Kit (RDK) environments is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform manual and automated testing of Linux-based Astra platforms, including IoT, Edge AI, and MCU-integrated products.

· Validate Android STB/IPTV devices and mobile platforms, including camera module functionality and streaming performance.

· Execute Google certification test suites (CTS, GTS, CTSv, STS, VTS, CTS-on-GSI, TVTS); Netflix certification experience is a plus.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across the product lifecycle, from development to deployment.

· Develop Python-based automation scripts using object-oriented programming principles.

· Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; manage automated build and deployment processes.

· Utilize GIT for version control and contribute to repository hygiene and branching strategies.

· Operate in Unix/Linux environments for test execution, log analysis, and system-level debugging

. Document test plans, test cases, defect reports, and QA metrics using JIRA, TestRail, and other tools.

Required Qualifications

Education-
Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field with coursework or hands-on experience in MCU technologies (mandatory)

Experience-
1–3 years in manual/automation testing for Android STB/IPTV, Android mobile platforms, and Linux-based MCU/IoT products

Platform Knowledge-
Hands-on experience testing Linux-based IoT, Edge AI, MCU

Technical Skills-
Familiarity with RDK stack (preferred), Python (OOP), Unix/Linux, GIT, Jenkins

Certifications-
Working knowledge of Google certification suites; Netflix certification is a plus

Tools & Platforms-
JIRA, TestRail, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines

· Exposure to agile methodologies

· Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
