QA Automation Tester (Fintech Domain)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Execute regression, functional, integration, and performance testing to ensure product stability.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Implement and maintain test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured).
  • Perform API testing using Postman/RestAssured and integrate with automation pipelines.
  • Ensure testing aligns with Fintech compliance and security standards.
  • Monitor test results, log defects, and track resolutions using tools like Jira.
  • Work closely with DevOps to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
  • Continuously enhance automation coverage and improve test efficiency.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 35 years of hands-on experience in QA automation testing.
  • Strong expertise in Selenium / Appium.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Solid experience in API testing & automation (Postman, RestAssured, Newman).
  • Knowledge of SQL / MongoDB for database validation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
  • Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Exposure to Fintech/Banking/Payments domain will be a strong plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, or k6).
  • Knowledge of security testing basics relevant to Fintech applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
