Job Title: Expert Data Visualization Analyst (Tableau Specialist)

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Expert Data Visualization Analyst with exceptional Tableau skills to join our Product Management team in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will have an advanced Tableau certification and be passionate about transforming complex data into visually compelling and actionable insights that drive business growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to create interactive dashboards and visualizations that enable data-driven decision-making and effectively communicate intricate concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Tableau dashboards and visualizations

to provide actionable insights for the Product Management team and other business stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective data visualization solutions that support product development and strategy
• Develop and oversee data models and data structures to support data visualization needs for the Product Management team
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide recommendations for data-driven decision-making related to product improvements and enhancements
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating data sources, implementing data quality checks, and conducting regular data audits
• Train and support end-users in the effective use of Tableau and other data visualization tools within the Product Management team
• Mentor and guide data visualization analysts, sharing best practices and promoting knowledge transfer
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data visualization and Tableau

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in data visualization and analysis using Tableau
• Advanced Tableau certification is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with datasets
• Basic understanding of Snowflake data warehouse
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to mentor and guide team members in data visualization best practices
• Experience with other data visualization tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or is a plus
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus
• Experience with Mixpanel a plus
