Web Developer II
We have an opportunity for a
Web Developer II
to join our Web Operations & Development team in Bangalore
.
In this pivotal role, you will drive innovative front-end solutions that elevate user engagement and set new benchmarks for design and performance across our digital platforms. Collaborating closely with Strategy, Design and UX
,
you will play a critical role in the development of unique front-end applications, experiences and solutions to deliver a best-in-class user experience across our digital web properties
.
Be a Contributor — What You'll Do

• Support ongoing web operations and updates to site content, collateral, and functionality
• Apply your knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript in light-to-medium development tasks
• Ensure all updates and solutions follow responsive design and accessibility best practices and align with the latest industry trends
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional web experiences
• Work closely with back-end developers to implement solutions into author-able and re-usable components within our CMS
• Contribute to testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the development team

Be Prepared — What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience developing cutting edge, responsive front-end solutions and applications
• Expertise in HTML, CSS (Sass/Less), JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience developing interactive web applications using front-end frameworks such as Vue or React. Vue experience preferred
• Experience with task runners and build tools such as Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, or equivalent
• Experience using version control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket
• Solid understanding of branching strategies and deployment tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins
• Bonus: Experience in S3, AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway development
• Bonus: Experience with personalization platforms and tag managers
• Proven ability to communicate effectively cross-team, understand business requirements and provide feedback for developing the most effective and efficient technical solutions

Be Successful — Your Path
First 90 Days:
Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.

Six Months:

• Support day-to-day production and web operations related tasks including content updates, blog posts and asset publishing
• Share ideas and suggestions to improve existing systems and processes
• Begin solutioning platform agnostic, front-end framework powered user experiences that consume data from external sources
• Contribute to the development of a foundational design system

One Year:

• Excel in your understanding of business operations across our digital web presence
• Become an expert in content creation and partner closely with the business to provide the best content authoring experience
• Continue developing innovative and creative user experiences
• Contribute to the team's effort to excel in quality assurance, offering testing solutions and test-driven development guidance
