We are seeking a skilled Scala Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Scala and related frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in functional programming, distributed systems, and data processing, with experience in building scalable backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services and data processing pipelines using Scala.
  • Implement functional programming principles for clean and efficient code.
  • Work with frameworks like Akka, Play, or Spark for distributed and reactive applications.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Integrate with databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Write unit tests, perform code reviews, and ensure best practices in software development.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming concepts.
  • Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or Apache Spark.
  • Knowledge of concurrency, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with big data processing and streaming frameworks (Kafka, Flink).
  • Knowledge of Java or other JVM-based languages.
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
