About the Role:

We are looking for passionate Java Backend Developers (SDE II / SDE III) to join our high-performing engineering team at a leading Travel & Leisure technology company. You will be responsible for building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems that power next-generation travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to build high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and security at scale.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and promote engineering excellence within the team.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher) and Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
  • Experience in Microservices Architecture and RESTful API development.
  • Proficient with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Hands-on experience with message queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in Travel, Leisure, or E-commerce platforms is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to scalable, high-traffic distributed systems.
  • Understanding of caching, load balancing, and performance optimization.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for technology and learning new tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
