Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and intuitive business intelligence solutions. You will transform complex data into actionable insights, empowering stakeholders across the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise in Power BI, data modelling proficiency, and sharp analytical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Dashboard Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, interactive, and visually compelling Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Data Modeling & Engineering: Develop efficient and scalable data models by importing and transforming data from various sources (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, APIs, Excel). Implement robust DAX calculations and measures for complex business logic.
• Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies. Translate business needs into technical specifications and translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and data models to ensure reliability, speed, and a superior user experience.
• Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, understand key metrics, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
• Best Practices & Governance: Advocate for and implement Power BI and data visualization best practices. Contribute to the organization's data governance and security standards.
• Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation for data models, reports, and processes. Provide training and support to end-users to enable self-service analytics where appropriate.

Required Skills And Qualifications
Experience:
4+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of delivered reports and dashboards.

Technical Expertise

• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop and Service).
• Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query M.
• Strong experience in data modelling (star/snowflake schema, relationships, managing granularity).
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.

Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to analyze large datasets and distill insights into clear visualizations.
• Understanding of key business metrics, KPIs, and performance measures.

Visualization Skills

• A strong eye for design and user experience, with the ability to create intuitive and effective visualizations that tell a clear story.

Good To Have Qualifications

• Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks).
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced data analysis.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Power BI certification (PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst).
