Job Description – Avaloq Testers (Beginner to Expert Level)

Experience: 1–12 Years

Location: Onsite (Open for Relocation)

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of Avaloq Core Banking System modules.
• Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs.
• Prepare and execute test plans, test cases, and test data for Avaloq modules.
• Conduct regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and release managers to identify and resolve defects.
• Ensure test coverage, traceability, and documentation as per QA standards.
• Report defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Zephyr, and track until closure.
• Work closely with Avaloq parameterization and change request validation.
• Participate in test automation initiatives and continuous improvement of QA processes.

Mandatory Skills

• Avaloq Core Platform testing experience (any module: Payments, Securities, CRM, Accounting, etc.)
• Banking/Financial Domain experience – especially in Core Banking, Payments, or Wealth Management
• Strong knowledge of SDLC & STLC methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Test Management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, Xray, etc.)
• Experience in Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing
• Basic understanding of Avaloq scripting and parameterization
• Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL for backend validation and data verification
• Understanding of API testing using tools like Postman or SOAP UI
• Excellent defect management and documentation skills
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in test automation (Selenium, Tosca, or other frameworks)
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git)
• Certification in ISTQB or Avaloq Certified Professional

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 1–3 Years → Junior Avaloq Tester / Manual Tester (Banking Domain)
• 4–7 Years → Mid-Level QA Engineer / Senior Tester
• 8–12 Years → Test Lead / QA Manager / Avaloq Testing Expert
