1. Gold Audit & Verification:

  • Conduct regular and surprise gold audits at branches to verify physical gold stock against system records.
  • Check purity, weight, and valuation of pledged gold ornaments as per company standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation, storage, and security of gold assets.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, or excesses immediately to management and recommend corrective actions.

2. Financial & Operational Audit:

  • Review branch financial transactions, loan disbursements, and repayments for accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify adherence to accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Evaluate loan files, KYC documentation, and policy compliance.
  • Check cash management practices and ensure adherence to cash handling policies.

3. Compliance & Risk Control:

  • Assess branch operations for compliance with RBI regulations, company policies, and audit standards.
  • Identify process gaps, fraud indicators, and operational risks.
  • Suggest improvements for internal control systems to minimize risks.

4. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed audit reports with observations, findings, and recommendations.
  • Submit timely audit summaries to senior management.
  • Follow up on corrective actions and ensure compliance closure.

5. Coordination & Training:

  • Coordinate with Branch Managers and Regional Heads during audits.
