About Sustainability and Business Advisory

Our Sustainability and Business Advisory unit partners with global corporates and funders to design and implement strategic interventions that support their sustainability goals. We craft focused strategies and forward-looking action plans, grounded in rigorous research and data-driven insights, to enable a meaningful transition towards net zero.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant in Sustainability and Business Advisory, you will play a crucial role within our team, collaborating to craft effective solutions that meet the needs of our clients while generating tangible outcomes. Your responsibilities will involve actively participating in project tasks, engaging in problem-solving activities, liaising with various stakeholders, and providing valuable insights derived from research efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Excellence

- Take overall accountability for customer success through active listening, problem-solving, and providing strategic inputs that align with their vision of high impact on the ground and the ecosystem

- Co-create solutions to meet client's current and future needs, working closely with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally

- Influence decision-making and action at the senior level of high-impact organisations to enable positive and sustainable impact

- Develop, manage, and grow working relationships with clients and key stakeholders

- Ensure strong project management, team management, and overall profitability of projects

Market Engagement

- Keep abreast of new and current trends within the sustainability space, approaches to enable scalable impact

-  Work closely with prospective clients, business development, and sales teams to ensure accurate scope of work, high-quality approach, and accurate effort estimation

- Contribute towards the organization's overall thought leadership strategy by generating meaningful content relevant to the ecosystem

Institution Building

- Lead internal strategic initiatives at the unit or organizational level that help contribute towards Sattva's continued development

- Participate in building and strengthening internal systems and processes which contribute towards effective and efficient functioning of the unit and organization

- Contribute towards the development of junior team members, and towards a strong culture and working environment overall

- Build, structure, and develop knowledge to share internally within the organization and at the ecosystem level

The Ideal Candidate

At Sattva, our goal is to realize the impact on the ground and to drive a collective win by engaging with multiple stakeholders. We are looking for individuals who have the following profile:

- 6–8 years of experience in consulting, business development, and stakeholder management across corporate, VC/consulting firms, or entrepreneurial setups.

- Deep expertise in ESG and impact strategy including designing frameworks, KPIs, roadmaps, and conducting ESG assessments, materiality analyses, and climate risk evaluations.

- Strong familiarity with global sustainability frameworks and hands-on experience with net zero and just transition strategies.

- Proven project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.

- Data-driven mindset, skilled in using analysis and visualization tools to derive insights and support strategic decision-making.

-  Excellent stakeholder and client engagement, with the ability to understand client needs, build trust, and drive high-quality delivery.

- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration, fostering cross-functional teamwork, open dialogue, and outcome-oriented problem-solving.
