NOC Head

As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer - Manager, you'll play a critical role in

ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You'll work closely with other engineering teams to identify and resolve network issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring and Alert Response:

o Monitor network performance and uptime using various network monitoring tools.

o Respond promptly to network alerts and incidents, troubleshooting and resolving issues

to minimize downtime.

o Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or management as necessary.

2. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

o Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues across multiple layers (physical, data link,

network, transport, application).

o Coordinate with vendors and other technical teams to resolve network problems

efficiently.

o Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.

3. Maintenance and Configuration:

o Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades, configuration changes,

and equipment replacements.

o Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of network devices and configurations.

o Implement and maintain network security measures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.

4. Incident Management:

o Participate in incident management processes, including incident detection, analysis,

response, and post-incident reviews.

o Provide timely updates to stakeholders during incident resolution, ensuring clear

communication and transparency.

5. Performance Optimization:

o Analyze network performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and

improvement.

o Implement changes to improve network efficiency, capacity, and reliability.

• Proven experience in network operations or a similar role, with strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Huawei or other networking equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge over CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are a plus.

Education-Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
