Job Summary:

The CCTV Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing CCTV systems and related security equipment. The role involves working with surveillance cameras, network video recorders (NVRs/DVRs), access control systems, and other electronic security devices to ensure proper functioning and security coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and related accessories.

Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CCTV systems.

Inspect, adjust, and align cameras for proper positioning and image quality.

Run and terminate cables (Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, fiber) as per project requirements.

Integrate CCTV systems with alarm, access control, or other security systems.

Maintain accurate records of equipment, installations, and maintenance work.

Respond promptly to service requests and perform site visits for troubleshooting.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during installations.

Provide user training and support on CCTV system operation when required.

Skills & Qualifications:

ITI/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or related technical field (preferred).

Proven experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.

Knowledge of networking, IP cameras, and video management software (VMS).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Physically fit to work at heights or confined spaces when necessary.

Possession of a valid driving license (optional, depending on job role).

Work Environment:

Field-based work involving travel to customer sites.

May require flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, for installations or emergency repairs.
