About the Job: SMT Bangalore plant caters to decorative PVD coatings, works with leading corporates in Horology and electronics industry. Due to the expansion of work and a new Factory setup, we are seeking an experienced Factory Operations Manager to supervise factory workers and ensure that factory targets are met. The factory manager's responsibilities include scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. You should also be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

To be successful as a factory manager, you should demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills and resolve any issues that may derail production. Ultimately, a top-performing factory manager should have exceptional communication, management, and leadership skills to ensure that factory operations run smoothly.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

· Production Planning & Operations:

1. Develop and implement strategies to streamline factory operations.

2. Analyze production data to identify and resolve any production issues.

3. Oversee electroplating processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules

4. Manage and optimize PVD coatings & electroplating parameters to achieve desired finishes and material properties.

5. Actively participate in new product development

· Manpower handling:

1. Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers.

2. Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.

3. Creating shifts schedules

· Health and safety & compliance:

1. Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.

2. Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order by making a monthly schedule for the maintenance for all machinery

· Budgeting & costs control and inventory management:

1. Taking active role in monthly and annual budgeting.

· Continuous Process Improvement for driving efficiencies:

1. Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.

2. Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.

3. Ensure SOP are up to date and strictly adhered to on the shop floor.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial management, logistics, or related field.

· Must have hands on Knowledge in electroplating Process (Nickel, Chrome etc)

· Understanding of PVD coating process will have an added advantage.

· Min. Work Exp. Of 15-20 yrs. In a reputed company / MNC in similar work area

· Worked in manufacturing service industry is an added advantage.

· Proven experience in a Senior managerial role within a factory.

· Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment is an added advantage

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and SAP business one ERP is must.

· The ability to multitask & Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Effective communication skills. Should know Kannada/Tamil to be effective in the job.

Pay: ₹75, ₹125,000.00 per month
