The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and developers to define test strategies for application migration and modernization efforts.
• Design and execute test plans for migrated applications, ensuring functional equivalence and data integrity.
• Perform end-to-end testing across legacy and target environments (e.g., AS/400 to cloud).
• Conduct regression, integration, system, performance, and security testing.
• Validate data migration accuracy using SQL queries, ETL tools, and reconciliation scripts.
• Automate test cases using tools like Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or Cypress.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, defect reports, and traceability matrices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with business users to support UAT and post-migration validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of QA experience, with at least 1–2 years in application migration projects.
• Strong understanding of testing across legacy systems and cloud platforms (e.g., AS400, HP Tandem, Azure, AWS).
• Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with API testing, RESTful services, and service virtualization.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience as a test lead developing test strategies and test plans.
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation and to select automation frameworks for particular engagements.

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated functional testing
• Experience in different type of testing (Functional, E2E, parallel testing, etc)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience using QL, APIs, and integration tools.
