Senior Accountant
Department: Accounting
Location: Burlington, ON, Canada
- Assist in the production of financial reports, including monthly consolidated financial statements and related analysis
- Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
- Planning and executing internal control audits, understanding current processes and developments to strengthen internal controls
- Assistance in the preparation of annual corporate tax returns
- Preparation of monthly sales tax remittances
- Assistance in day-to-day operations within the accounting department
- Other related duties assigned by management
- Designated accountant, preferably a qualified CPA
- Workable knowledge of IFRS
- Experience in preparation of Canadian Corporate and Sales Tax returns
- Demonstrates ability to manage projects with multiple priorities and timelines
- Ability to work independently and within a team
