We're Hiring: Food Technologist / Product Development Lead

At Kapi, we're on a mission to make protein a part of every Indian's daily life.

From whey powders and RTD shakes to protein dosas, idlis, snacks, and ice creams, we want Kapi to be a lifestyle brand that transforms how India consumes nutrition.

To drive this vision, we are looking for a full-time Food Technologist to join our founding team.

Your Role

• Lead product development across whey powders, beverages, and traditional foods (dosa, idly, upma mixes, snacks).

• Develop and optimise recipes, formulations, and processes.

• Manage lab trials, nutritional testing, and shelf-life studies.

• Ensure FSSAI compliance and accurate nutrition labeling.

• Work with co-manufacturers and labs (CFTRI, NIFTEM, private R&D) to scale pilot batches into commercial runs.

What We're Looking For

• Background: Food Technology / Dairy Technology / Food Science (B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD).

• Experience: 2–6 years in product development, preferably in functional foods, protein powders, snacks, or nutraceuticals.

• Skills: Protein fortification, food processing, shelf-life optimisation, sensory testing.

• Mindset: Entrepreneurial, innovative, and excited to build from zero to one.
