Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing configuration, architecture and development of our global SAP Ariba and SAP Materials Management (MM) functionality within a global Information Technology Team for Momentive.

Job Description:

Key Tasks and Deliverables:

  • Perform configuration, testing and analysis on SAP Ariba and the SAP ECC MM module to meet business requirements.
  • Work individually and on global project teams to implement forward looking/advanced technology to drive significant advancements within the Global Procurement team and business process.
  • Perform requirement analysis for new enhancement and system implementation.
  • Build and manage technical specifications for all custom coding / ABAP and interfaces to/from SAP Ariba and the SAP MM module.
  • Work with appropriate teams to configure master and transactional data objects as required to meet business requirements.
  • Respond to production application and systems problems and drive or support the analysis and remediation efforts. This includes being on call and support off-hours and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of technical experience with SAP Ariba including Marketplace and Catalog functionality, Supplier Enablement/Punchout Interfaces, and CIF catalogs.
  • 3+ years of technical experience with SAP MM module including configuration, customization and operation of related transactions.
  • Solid SAP Procurement knowledge with deeply understand of business processes.
  • Experienced on PR/PO release procedure and configuration.
  • Must have experience in all core SAP applications and tools including SAP integration with Legacy systems, SAP Smart forms, ALE (Application Link Enabling), IDOC (Intermediate Document) interface programming, Dialog Programming, Remote Function Calls, BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface), ABAP (Object Oriented ABAP), ALV, Web Dynpro, LSMW conversions
  • Strong English Communication Skills (verbal and written)
  • Familiar with full-life cycle (SDLC) development and formal change management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
  • Experience in off/on shore model as well as working with Virtual teams.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker – ability to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Engineering or related fields
  • Implementation experience with SAP Ariba, specifically Marketplace and Catalog functionality.
  • Working knowledge of other SAP ECC 6.0 Modules (PP, FI/CO, QM, PM, SD)
  • Basic understanding of SAP Security structure
  • Basic ITIL knowledge of IT focused organizations
  • Manufacturing or business experience with a solid understanding of business operations /processes related to procurement (direct, indirect, supplies)
  • Experience with international or global SAP deployments
