Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Indirect Tax Executive to join our growing team at the Kolkata Head Office. The ideal candidate will bring expert-level proficiency in GST laws, internal audits and departmental representations, with a proven ability to lead audit teams, manage client relationships and independently handle complex assignments and departmental proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

GST Compliance & Consulting

  • Manage end-to-end GST compliance including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, GST registrations, reconciliations, and return filings.
  • Prepare and review GST audit reports and consulting deliverables.

Internal & Statutory Audits

  • Participate in internal audits of large corporates, ensuring compliance under GST, Income Tax, and the Companies Act.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive internal audit reports with actionable insights.
  • Execute and review GST reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and audit documentation.

Departmental Representation & Litigation

  • Draft and file replies to GST Show Cause Notices, handle departmental scrutiny, audits, investigations, appeals, and refund claims.
  • Represent clients in GST hearings and proceedings.
  • Stay updated on recent notifications, circulars, amendments, and interpretive positions under GST law.

Technology & Tools Proficiency

  • Work hands-on with Tally Prime, SAP, Busy, Real Books, and other accounting systems.
  • Leverage GST software such as ClearTax, KDK Software, etc.

Client Engagement

  • Conduct client meetings, manage ongoing assignments, and nurture long-term professional relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in client deliverables and interactions.

Candidate Profile

1. Strong command over English, both written and spoken.

2. Deep conceptual understanding of GST Law, rules, procedures, and emerging developments.

  1. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage cross-functional audit teams.

  2. Prior experience in a reputed CA firm in a similar capacity for at least 2 years is mandatory.

Remuneration

Salary Range: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (commensurate with experience and skill)
