Position Title: Sr. EMS / Sr. Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Software Center of Excellence. The role involves designing and developing a comprehensive real-time data logging, monitoring, and analysis system for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The candidate will work across front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless data management, visualization, and system performance. This is a critical role that requires strong problem-solving ability, technical leadership, and full lifecycle ownershipfrom requirements gathering to design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable microservices and distributed applications for BESS systems.
  • Collaborate with business consultants and project teams to understand requirements and propose architectural solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance in full-stack development, including design reviews, coding practices, and delivery processes.
  • Develop prototypes, produce technical documentation, and deliver accurate development effort estimates.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to ensure best-fit architectural solutions.
  • Perform functional and technical reviews, ensuring code quality, performance benchmarking, and optimization.
  • Manage deployment and maintenance on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with high availability, clustering, redundancy, and failover design.
  • Support troubleshooting, KPI reporting, and log management for operational stability.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, version control, and bug tracking processes using modern DevOps tools.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Competencies Required

Technical Expertise

  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, OOAD, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis/MongoDB/Cache, Kafka/RabbitMQ.
  • Proficiency in multithreading, distributed application development, and performance optimization.
  • Experience in Microservices architecture, REST/SOAP APIs, Docker, and Hibernate.
  • Strong understanding of Design Patterns, JUnit testing, KPI reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in CI/CD, version control, and DevOps tools (Git, Gerrit, Jira, Jenkins).
  • Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, GCP with focus on deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
