The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English language, basic computer skills, and personality development to youth and/or adult learners from underprivileged backgrounds. The teacher will play a crucial role in building the confidence and skills of learners to help them become employable, self-reliant, and socially empowered

  • Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in:
  • Spoken and written English
  • Basic computer applications (MS Office, Internet usage, email, typing, etc.)
  • Personality development (communication skills, body language, interview preparation, time management, etc.)
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with learner needs.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to track student progress.
  • Use activity-based and learner-centered teaching methods.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to students when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with program staff to align teaching methods with the NGO's educational goals.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and community outreach programs.
  • Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred (especially in NGOs or low-resource settings).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to connect with learners from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for social impact.
  • Basic knowledge of local language(s) is an advantage.

Work Environment:
