As the link between technology and sales, the Salesforce CPQ Developer is important for ensuring that the sales team has the necessary tools to quickly generate accurate quotes, thereby improving sales efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role encompasses various technical aspects, from coding and testing to deployment, ensuring that the Salesforce platform aligns with business goals. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement CPQ solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements.
  • Configure Salesforce CPQ applications to meet business needs.
  • Develop Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages as necessary.
  • Perform unit testing and validation of solutions.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing CPQ solutions based on user feedback.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Provide technical support and training to the sales team.
  • Implement integration with existing ERP and CRM systems.
  • Document development processes, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Work within Agile methodologies to deliver quick results.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practice discussions.
  • Stay updated on Salesforce features and CPQ industry trends.
  • Help in developing enhancement roadmaps for CPQ solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance within the Salesforce platform.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce CPQ and its functionalities.
  • Proficient in Apex programming and Visualforce development.
  • Experience with Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL).
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and requirements.
  • Experience with APIs and integration methods.
  • Working knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Ability to write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Salesforce Developer Certification is a plus.
  • Salesforce CPQ Certification is desirable.
  • Experience in training end users on CPQ solutions.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
