The Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation and enhance our product delivery. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage teams, projects, and stakeholder relationships while aligning technical vision with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee software development projects, ensuring the use of best practices in languages such as C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Implement and promote Agile and DevOps methodologies to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
  • Design and architect cloud-based solutions using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), focusing on scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead efforts in database design, utilizing both SQL and NoSQL technologies to create scalable storage solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and regulations (e.g., GDPR) by developing and implementing security measures.
  • Integrate AI tools and technologies (TensorFlow, PyTorch) into software solutions, overseeing data preprocessing and model deployment.

**Team and Project Management: **

  • Manage and mentor software engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and clients, to communicate project status and technical concepts in business language.

Strategic Vision:

  • Define the technical vision and align product roadmaps with overarching business goals.
  • Champion continuous improvement and the adoption of emerging technologies, particularly in the AI domain, to enhance product delivery and operational efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
  • Manage project budgets and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in software development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in software development and team leadership, ideally in a director or senior management role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, compliance, and AI technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive innovation within a technical environment.
