Job Summary:

The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for managing period-end close activities, performing cost allocation and reporting, calculating monthly accruals and provisions, and preparing and validating amortization schedules.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances
  • Conduct accounting analysis for accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reconciliations
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Handle foreign currency exchange accounting and related analysis
  • Manage cost allocation activities and prepare schedules for period-end reporting
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets sub-ledgers
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Review financial reports and identify variances
  • Maintain proper documentation as per accounting standards
  • Prepare cash flow statements and resolve reconciliation issues
  • Ensure adherence to standard accounting principles and company procedures
  • Support management with accounting analysis and reports for decision-making

Job Requirements:

  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance (Mandatory)
  • Experience working in an ERP environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Excel preferred
