Senior Financial Analyst – Finance Team

Location: HSR Layout, Bengaluru

Working Days: 6 Days (Monday to Saturday)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who brings deep analytical skills, financial rigor, and business acumen to support strategic decision-making across Vedantu's fast-evolving business (both online and offline). The role is integral in driving financial visibility, forecasting, planning, and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

1. MIS & Dashboarding

● Build and automate detailed MIS reports for tracking financial and operational KPIs.

● Create interactive dashboards using Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or Tableau for real-time decision-making.

2. P&L Management & Variance Analysis

● Conduct in-depth variance analysis for actual vs. budget/forecast.

● Drive insights from monthly P&L reviews, identifying profitability drivers and cost trends.

3. Month-End Book Closures

● Support monthly closures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

● Liaise with accounting for accurate financial reporting and compliance.

4. Financial Planning & Decision Support

● Partner with business functions to build budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.

● Create models to support cost optimization, revenue growth, and new initiatives.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

● Act as a Finance Business Partner to vertical heads, operations, and product teams.

● Drive alignment on key metrics, forecasts, and financial decisions across departments.

Basic Qualifications :

● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (CA Inter/MBA preferred).

● 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or management reporting.

● Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets; knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

● Strong knowledge of accounting principles, P&L management, and month-end processes.

● Excellent analytical and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
