Title: Q.S Manager Construction Industry

Location: Visakhapatnam,Hyderabad

Description

We are looking for a QS Manager, or Quantity Survey Manager with a minimum of 5+ years relevant

experience, who oversees the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence

to budgets. They are responsible for cost estimation, budget management, contract preparation, and risk

assessment, collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize resource allocation. They also play a key role in

ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

Analysing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and establishing budgets for construction projects.

Contract Management:

Managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.

Financial Management:

Monitoring project expenses, forecasting costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Risk Management:

Assessing and mitigating potential financial risks associated with the project.

Procurement:

Overseeing the procurement process, including tendering and negotiation, to ensure cost-effective sourcing of

materials and services.

Reporting:

Preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders, detailing project costs, progress, and potential issues.

Team Leadership:

Mentoring and guiding junior quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements.

Quality Assurance:

Contributing to the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field:

Professional Certifications:

Certifications from professional bodies like the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) can enhance career

prospects.

Experience:

Experience in junior surveying roles and project management is crucial for career progression.

Technical Skills:

Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills are essential.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are important for interacting with various stakeholders.

Knowledge of Construction Processes:

Understanding the construction process, including design, procurement, and project management, is essential.
