Job Summary: The Solar Planning Engineer for Site Execution is responsible for overseeing the installation and execution phases of solar energy projects. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of solar installations while adhering to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee the execution of solar project installations at site locations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project execution plans.
  • Ensure that all installation activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Monitor site progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise during execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess progress and adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field crews during installation.
  • Manage site documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and change orders.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and making adjustments as necessary during installations.
  • Provide feedback and data for continual improvement of site execution processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in solar project execution and site management.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical components, and installation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications related to solar energy, project management, or safety (e.g., NABCEP, PMP).
  • Experience with construction management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of GIS and design software is a plus.
