Job Description: Financial Analyst (Tech-Savvy / Accounting Systems)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst with strong expertise in finance, accounting, and technology. This role requires a professional who can bridge the gap between Finance and IT, evaluate existing accounting systems, and recommend solutions to optimize workflows, enhance automation, and drive efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine deep financial knowledge with technical acumen to ensure our financial systems are accurate, scalable, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data, reports, and processes to identify areas for improvement and automation.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate existing accounting/ERP systems and recommend enhancements or new solutions.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to design reporting structures and dashboards that support decision-making.
  • Conduct gap analysis between current system capabilities and business requirements.
  • Drive the implementation of financial automation tools and integrations to streamline processes (e.g., accounts payable, reconciliations, reporting).
  • Ensure system configurations align with accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with system-driven efficiencies.
  • Develop documentation, process flows, and user training for financial systems.
  • Monitor financial technology trends and propose innovative solutions to improve operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).
  • 3–6+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or finance systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and corporate finance.
  • Proven experience working with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Quickbooks, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Technical aptitude with a strong understanding of automation tools, system integrations, and financial technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance, IT, and business teams.

  • Finance & Accounting Expertise – Strong grounding in US GAAP/IFRS, financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Technical Acumen – Ability to evaluate, configure, and recommend financial systems and tools.
  • Process Optimization – Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and designing automated solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Comfortable working with both Finance and IT teams to drive initiatives.
  • Change Management – Ability to guide teams through system and process changes.
