The ideal candidate will deliver learning and development activities for seafarers. This entails delivering all value-added training necessary to ensure competent and safe operations on board and maintaining full compliance with all relevant regulatory and company requirements ResponsibilitiesReview, develop and deliver training courses to ensure safe vessel operations and marine environmental protection under regulatory, owner and company-specific requirements
Proactively identify and address training needs cost-effectively and efficiently to remain within budget
To act as WMTC's Quality Management Representative (QMR) and ensure all ISO 9001 documents are maintained and recorded
Maintain proper records and documentation of training activities
Evaluate training effectiveness and client satisfaction and rectify any shortcomings under the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as soon as possible
Stay abreast of industry developments and proactively provide solutions to emerging industry challenges to ensure the company's competitive advantage
Report any training course planning-related issues to the line manager
Understanding the impact of delayed readiness of seafarers on business performance
Maintain good professional relationships with colleagues in all business functions, service providers and external stakeholders
Any other function directed by the General Manager, Training or General Manager, Global TrainingQualificationsClass I (Engine) COC holder.Time management and communication skills
Degree holder in Marine Studies, Shipping, or Maritime is preferred
Work Experience3 years experience in a similar position
Seagoing experience as chief engineer
Experience in training seafarers
People management experience
