WordPress Developer

Department: IT / Web Development

Location: Cochin, Kerala

Reporting To: Technical Lead / Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain websites using WordPress themes, plugins, and custom coding. Experience with Shopify is an added advantage. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, design sensibility, and the ability to deliver responsive, user-friendly websites.

Key Responsibilities: WordPress Development

  • Design and develop WordPress websites using themes, page builders, and custom coding.
  • Customize themes, templates, and plugins based on client requirements.
  • Build responsive and mobile-friendly layouts.
  • Perform website updates, maintenance, and speed optimization.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to hosting, themes, and plugins.

Shopify (Added Advantage)

  • Customize Shopify themes and sections.
  • Manage Shopify store setup, app integrations, and basic Liquid code modifications.
  • Support eCommerce store management when required.

Technical Tasks

  • Integrate APIs, third-party tools, and payment gateways.
  • Manage website backups, security enhancements, and performance monitoring.
  • Optimize websites for SEO best practices.
  • Work with design teams to convert UI/UX layouts into functional pages.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the marketing and design team for website updates.
  • Participate in project discussions, requirement gathering, and timelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely project delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in WordPress CMS, Elementor, WPBakery, or other page builders.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP.
  • Knowledge of MySQL, hosting (cPanel), and website deployment.
  • Understanding of SEO-friendly website structure.
  • Basic knowledge of Shopify (Liquid, apps, themes) is a plus.
  • Experience with version control (Git) is an added advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in WordPress development.
  • Shopify experience/certification is an added value.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹16, ₹25,000.00 per month
