Manager Coal Management

Role & responsibilities
- Planning of coal procurement and logistics as per quantity and quality requirement given by operation department considering various matrix of coal consumption and inventory management.
- Procurement of indigenous and Imported coal.
- Vendor development and MIS preparation
- Custom duty payment and Vessel's payments (including demurrage and dispatch)
- Preparing and reviewing optimum logistics plan.
- Benchmarking coal and logistic price with competitors.
- Monitoring Custom duty, vessel payment and settlements of demurrage and dispatch claim.
- Review and supervise all contract commercial terms and condition.
- Monitoring fuel supply, maintaining coal stock at optimum level, follow up with coal companies and suppliers, railway, vessel owners and coal handling agents etc.
- Evaluating various techno economical option for strategically planning and sourcing of fuel mix viz. indigenous, washed and imported coal
- Tendering and managing of various coal supply related contracts and service contracts, negotiation of various terms conditions time to time
- Dealings in legal, arbitration case in relation to coal quality claim etc.
Preferred candidate profile
- Fuel procurement and logistic.
- Liasoning with Government statutory (Railways, CEA, Coal etc.)
- Vendor development and inventory management.
