About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Azure Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade Azure solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, automation, and enterprise architecture. This role demands a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage end-to-end Azure infrastructure solutions for enterprise environments.
  • Develop architecture blueprints and standards for Azure adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives.
  • Lead efforts around network design, identity and access management, and cloud security best practices.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability (HA) strategies.
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency, performance, and compliance.
  • Automate provisioning and management tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions that support business goals.

Technical Competencies

Infrastructure Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux Servers, Networking, and Firewall Security (including WAF).
  • Proficient in Storage Solutions, Automation (MS-DOS, PowerShell), and Monitoring Tools.

Azure Infrastructure Management

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Provisioning and Management at an enterprise scale.
  • Expertise in Advanced Networking, IAM, and Azure Security & Compliance.
  • Skilled in Backup, DR, and High Availability solution design.
  • Proficiency in Cost Management, Performance Tuning, and Patch Management.
  • Experience with Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep.

Required Skills

  • Deep expertise in Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, and Databases.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Bicep.
  • Proficient in Azure monitoring tools Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Strong understanding of Azure AD, IAM, Security Center, and related security mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes on AKS) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent certification).
  • Experience in hybrid cloud environments and on-premises integrations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
