QUALIFICATION REQUIRED - ITI WELDER OR FABRICATOR (ARC WELD & TIG WELD)
A welder/fabricator in the metal industry transforms raw metal into finished products by reading blueprints, cutting, shaping, and welding metal components, ensuring structural integrity and quality. Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate raw materials, operating machinery and tools like shears and welding equipment, performing precise measurements and welds, and conducting quality checks. This skilled role requires a strong understanding of various metal types, welding techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Core Responsibilities
- Interpreting blueprints: Reading and understanding technical drawings to accurately plan and execute fabrication.
- Material preparation: Measuring, marking, cutting, and shaping raw metal into the required components.
- Welding: Joining metal pieces using various welding processes and techniques to create durable and precise structures.
- Assembly: Assembling the cut and welded components to form finished products, machinery, or structural elements.
- Quality control: Inspecting completed welds and the finished product to ensure they meet exact specifications and standards.
- Equipment operation: Utilizing hand and power tools, as well as specialized machinery like lasers, press brakes, and welding guns.

- Technical proficiency: A strong understanding of different metal types and their properties, various welding techniques, and fabrication processes.
