We are looking for a skilled CPC Certified Medical Coder with hands-on experience in Plastic Surgery and Dermatology coding. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines, along with a deep understanding of payer policies and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze clinical documentation for accurate medical coding.
  • Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes specific to Plastic Surgery & Dermatology.
  • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer-specific policies.
  • Work with physicians and clinical teams to resolve coding queries.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure coding accuracy and minimize denials.
  • Support billing and revenue cycle teams with coding-related clarifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • CPC certification (AAPC) is mandatory.
  • 2 - 5 years of coding experience in Plastic Surgery and Dermatology.
  • Strong understanding of NCCI edits, modifiers, and coding best practices.
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and coding software.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with U.S. healthcare RCM workflows.
  • Knowledge of insurance payer guidelines for surgical and dermatology services.
  • Ability to interpret operative notes and reports.
