General objective

Reinforce existing developing team to enable the implementation and maintenance of the core components of Supply Chain at Flat Europe level.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to lead the development and maintenance of our supply chain applications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating stable applications and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (developers + analysts) to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.

You will be integrated into a distributed IT development team located in Europe and India for doing technical analysis based on functional specifications, writing good quality code according to provided technical specifications, designing of patterns, debugging of programs, test execution, usage of frameworks, deployment, rolling-out and creation of documentation.

Functional relations

Apart from the relation with the superior, the main stakeholders of this position will be other IT people from different DIT SC Teams and IT teams in the local cluster.

Activities

  • Develop and maintain the applications. Take ownership and lead the development, testing, and deployment of the applications.
  • Functionally knowledgeable about the application, knows the product by heart and can be involved in functional and technical analysis.
  • Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, offering code reviews, architectural advice, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Performance Optimization: Making sure that the applications are stable and performant and addressing the performance bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Integration: Integrate with external systems, third-party APIs, and cloud services as needed to deliver comprehensive features.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in existing applications and processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements.
  • Agile Development: Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing accurate time estimates for tasks.

Minimum skills

  • At least, 7-year experience in back end/full stack development in large scale projects with .NET (: VB.NET, C#, Winforms, WCF, Visual Studio & TFS, GIT, )
  • Experience with the deployment, hypercare and maintenance of a large scale project.
  • Experience working on SQL environments.(database: SQL server)
  • Demonstratable experience applying agile mythologies (SCRUM).
  • Experienced in performance and tuning.
  • Writing code, design patterns (command, state, IOC, ), debugging, testing, usage of frameworks, deployment / rollout have no secrets for you
  • Initiative, Adaptability, Good communication, Commitment, Results Oriented, Teamwork, Mentoring Capacity, Stress resistant.
  • Availability for being included in an on-call team.
  • Advanced level of English (writing + speaking)
