Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Bidding & Tendering Professional to join our company in the
infrastructure projects domain. The ideal candidate will be a Civil Engineer with 10-15 years of
experience in the pre-bid and tendering process, particularly for Road and Highway Projects across
India.
Key Responsibilities
Tendering & Bidding Process:
- Lead the end-to-end bidding process for road and highway projects, ensuring timely
submission of tenders.
- Analyze tender documents, identify key requirements, risks, and opportunities, and prepare
bid strategies.
- Coordinate with various departments (Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Procurement) to
gather required inputs for bid preparation.
- Prepare technical and financial proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications
and client requirements.
- Ensure that cost estimates, pricing, and bidding strategies are aligned with market trends
and company objectives.
- Work closely with consultants, subcontractors, and partners to gather competitive quotes
and finalize cost components.
Pre-Bid & Documentation:
- Conduct pre-bid meetings, site visits, and risk assessments to understand project feasibility
and challenges.
- Prepare and review pre-bid queries and coordinate with clients (NHAI, State Governments
and other stakeholders) for necessary clarifications.
- Ensure that all tender documents, BOQs, and specifications are thoroughly reviewed and
validated before submission.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government regulations, NHAI guidelines, and contract
terms applicable to highway infrastructure projects.
Stakeholder Coordination & Compliance:
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities to ensure smooth bid
submissions and negotiations.
- Ensure all bid submissions comply with legal, financial, and technical regulations set by
NHAI and State Highway authorities.
- Assist in the contract negotiation and award process, ensuring favorable terms and risk
mitigation.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies to ensure
competitiveness in the bidding process.
- Develop a strong network of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to improve cost
efficiency in tenders.
- Provide strategic inputs to enhance the companys success rate in winning tenders.
Preferred Candidates
- Candidates with experience in leading the tendering process for roads and highway
projects.
- Professionals who have worked with leading EPC contractors in the roads & highways
sector.
- Strong network and familiarity with government agencies, consultants, and project
authorities.
Qualifications and Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 10-15 years in bidding, tendering, and pre-bid processes for road and highway projects.
- Strong expertise in NHAI and State Highway project tenders in India.
- Proficiency in preparing technical and financial bids, cost estimation, and tender
documentation.
- Knowledge of EPC contracts and government procurement processes.
- Strong command over MS Office and estimation software.
