Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IBM ECM Developer to analyse, enhance, and customize IBM Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems to optimize user experience and performance. The ideal candidate will explore the existing ECM system, implement new features, develop Java-based customizations, and provide solutions to improve ECM system usability. The developer should have hands-on experience with IBM FileNet P8 (CPE, CSS), WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM Content Navigator (ICN), IBM Enterprise Records (IER), IBM Content Collector (ICC), and IBM Datacap. The candidate will be responsible for driving ECM enhancements across multiple IBM components, ensuring scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions. Additionally, the candidate must have strong Oracle Database experience for ECM data management, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ECM System Analysis & Feature Implementation:

• Assess and evaluate the current ECM environment/architecture and its deployed applications.
• Identify opportunities for enhancements and new feature implementations to improve system usability and efficiency.
• Develop and deploy custom ECM solutions based on business needs.

2. IBM Content Navigator (ICN) Customization & Java Plugin Development:

• Customize ICN layouts, plugins, and widgets to enhance user experience.
• Develop Java-based ICN plugins using Eclipse to extend functionalities.
• Implement custom ICN actions, event handlers, and toolbar modifications.
• Integrate ICN with FileNet repositories and third-party applications.

3. IBM FileNet P8 & Content Services Development:

• Develop and customize FileNet Content Platform Engine (CPE) workflows and business processes.
• Implement custom metadata models, document classes, and security policies.
• Optimize Content Search Services (CSS) for efficient content retrieval.
• Configure and troubleshoot WebSphere Application Server (WAS) for ECM deployments.

4. IBM ECM Integration & Customization:

• Integrate ECM components with third-party applications (SAP, CRM, ERP, etc.) using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Customize IBM Enterprise Records (IER) and IBM Content Collector (ICC) as per business needs.

5. IBM Datacap Development & Customization:

• Design and develop new IBM Datacap applications based on business requirements.
• Analyze and resolve issues, bugs, and enhancement requests for existing Datacap applications.
• Experience with Datacap rulesets, task profiles, workflows, data extraction techniques, export configurations.
• Develop custom actions, scripts, and plug-ins to extend Datacap functionalities.
• Integrate IBM Datacap applications with third-party systems such as SAP, FileNet etc.

6. Performance Optimization, Issue Resolution & IBM PMRs:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to FileNet, ICN, Datacap, and WAS.
• Optimize ECM system performance, caching, and indexing.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of ECM applications.
• Work with IBM Support by raising and managing IBM PMRs (Problem Management Records) for issue resolution and system improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in IBM ECM development.
• Strong expertise in IBM FileNet P8 (CPE, CSS), ICN, IER, ICC, and Datacap.
• Experience in ICN customization and Java-based plugin development using Eclipse.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Datacap APIs, and Web Services (REST/SOAP) for ECM development.
• Hands-on experience with Datacap integration with SAP, ERP, or third-party applications.
• Strong knowledge of content repository design, workflow automation, and security policies.
• Experience in Oracle and database management for ECM applications.
• Familiarity with raising and managing IBM PMRs for ECM-related issues.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation for design, different implementation and compliance processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IBM Certified Developer
• Knowledge in cloud-based ECM deployments (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with RPA integration with IBM ECM solutions.

Education:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
