Role & responsibilities

1. Stock Management:

2. Store goods properly in the backroom or on shelves.

3. Label products with barcodes or price tags.

4. Ensure proper stacking to avoid damage.

5. Replenishment:

6. Refill shelves as per sales trends.

7. Ensure First-In-First-Out (FIFO) for perishable items.

8. Notify supervisors about fast-moving or slow-moving products.

9. Inventory Counting:

10. Conduct regular stock takes (weekly, monthly, quarterly).

11. Use handheld scanners or manual counting methods.

12. Report discrepancies (stock loss, excess, mismatch).

13. Data Entry & Reporting:

14. Update inventory data in the system (POS or ERP).

15. Maintain accurate records of goods received, sold, returned, or damaged.

16. Generate stock reports for management.

17. Damage & Returns Handling:

18. Identify damaged/expired products.

19. Process returns to vendors or warehouse.

20. Maintain records for return/damage claims.

21. Coordination:

22. Work with floor staff, warehouse, and purchasing teams.

23. Communicate restocking needs or shortages.
