Engineer Electrical Projects E&P

Job Responsibilities :
Maintain Electrical system in working condition to serve its intended purpose and to minimize downtime for Electrical Equipments. Take charge of Lead Maintenance as and when required for facilitating achievement of incident free production.

• Execute Maintenance Philosophy: Plan, schedule and execute 3P maintenance for Electrical systems loaded in SAP; Prepare, revise and amend Electrical task lists periodically; Assist Lead Maintenance in day to day activities in order to improve the reliability and availability of system equipment at Platform
• Emergency Handling: Handle emergencies in Electrical System, troubleshoot and minimize the down time; carry out periodic checks of emergency equipment to ascertain its functionality; assist OIM/ Lead maintenance during emergencies
• Statutory Compliance: Comply with statutory and legal legislations applicable to electrical system; implement recommendations of external audits; carry out checks as per British Safety Council and rectify defects
• Material Management: Identify requirement of spares on need, raise PR; review the technical specification; prepare scope of work for vendor services related to electrical systems; create reservation in SAP
• HSE Compliance: Prepare/ give inputs for preparation of Risk Assessment / JSA for Critical Maintenance Activities; Implement/ Execute/Support approved MOCs related to Electrical systems

Job Accountabilities

• In house studies for various concepts, options for Electrical systems for the project
• Basic engineering like preparation of conceptual single line diagrams, layouts, functional specifications, scope definition documents,
• Compliance to statutory requirements
• Budget preparation
• Engineering interface management, inter-disciplinary co-ordination for various packages and equipment.
• Coordinate complete procurement cycle from vendor qualification, MR, TBE, TR, vendor document review, manufacturing, FAT and SAT
• Coordinate with Procurement and Logistics team for on-time delivery of Project materials to site.
• Coordination with Engineering Consultant and Vendors for finalization of engineering deliverables.
• Responsible for commissioning of systems

Skills Required (Knowledge And Skills)

• Should be well conversant with applicable National and International standards. CEA regulations, IS, IEC, OISD, NFPA, API, etc. for the application and selection of Electrical equipment and systems.
• Should be conversant with the review of engineering documents like SLDs, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, Plant and equipment layouts, cable and termination schedules, electrical equipment data sheets, layouts, etc.
• Should have cross discipline function knowledge I&C. Process, power plant, mechanical, etc..
• Should be conversant in design of Supervisory Data Acquisition System (SCADA), DCS, PLCs
• Should be conversant with ETAP software, power system studies, harmonics management techniques, etc.

• Should be familiar with the following:

• Applicable statutory codes and requirements in power plant, transmission and Oil and Gas

• HSE rules and guidelines
• Should possess good oral and written communication skills
• Should be good team member
• Should possess analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

Key Attributes (Experience And Qualifications)

• Candidate should be graduate engineer (BE/BTech) in Electrical from recognized University and should have overall experience of 5 to 7 years in Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry.

Education Requirement :
Graduate in Electrical Engineering from reputed University

Experience Requirement :
Over all experience of 4-5 years in similar role.
