Job Description:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuance of goods in the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts, adjustments, and replenishment orders.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage, damages, and discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to warehouse personnel to ensure optimal productivity.
- Enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and repair to ensure operational efficiency.
- Implement efficient layout and organization of the warehouse to optimize space utilization and workflow.
Order Fulfillment:
- Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
- Ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch of goods to meet delivery deadlines.
- Resolve order discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and condition of outgoing shipments.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain records of inbound and outbound shipments, including delivery receipts, invoices, and packing lists.
- Generate regular reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, stock movements, and operational performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Godown Incharge, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory control.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field (preferred).
