Core responsibilities

  • Quality Systems Management:
    Implementing and overseeing Quality Management Systems (QMS), including change control, deviations, CAPA, and OOS/OOT investigations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensuring all operations comply with regulatory guidelines such as cGMP, GLP, and other relevant standards (e.g., Schedule M / WHO-GMP).
  • Validation:
    Managing and executing various validation activities for products, processes, and equipment.
  • Quality Control:
    Managing the quality control team and implementing stringent testing procedures, including stability studies and release testing.
  • Complaint Handling:
    Investigating and resolving market complaints and non-conformance products.
  • Audits:
    Ensuring audit readiness for internal, external, and regulatory inspections.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Driving continuous improvement initiatives, often using Lean Six Sigma principles, to optimize processes and reduce complaints.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Education:
    A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related science field (e.g., B.Pharm, B.Sc, M.Sc).
  • Experience:
    Several years of experience in QA/QC within a regulated pharmaceutical or cosmetic manufacturing environment is typically required.
  • Technical Skills:
    Familiarity with specific techniques like HPLC and GC, and a strong understanding of quality control procedures.
  • Soft Skills:
    Leadership, problem-solving, and strong communication skills are essential for managing teams and driving quality culture.
