Job Description – LCMS Analyst

Job Title: LCMS Analyst

Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Reports to: Lab Manager / Head of Department

Experience Required: 1–5 years (or as applicable)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Analytical Chemist with expertise in LCMS to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting LCMS instruments, performing advanced analytical testing, and ensuring compliance with ISO 17025:2017 standards. The role also includes method development, validation, and strict adherence to laboratory documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities:1. Instrument Operation & Maintenance:

  • Independently operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot LCMS instruments.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure smooth functioning as per SOPs.
  • Monitor system performance, control charts, and maintain updated instrument records (MOU, calibration, service logs).

  • Sample Analysis & Testing:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex biological, pharmaceutical, and chemical samples using LCMS.

  • Accurately prepare standards, reagents, and sample solutions as per validated methods.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all test results.

  • Method Development, Validation & Verification:

  • Develop, validate, and verify new LCMS methods for routine and non-routine analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with international regulatory guidelines (ICH, USFDA, EMA as applicable).
  • Prepare Method Validation Protocols (MVP) and Method Validation Reports (MVR).

  • Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain SOPs, STPs, calibration logs, and validation records in accordance with ISO 17025:2017 standards.

  • Ensure traceability and accuracy in test records, chromatograms, and audit documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, addressing CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

  • Quality Control & Assurance:

  • Actively participate in Proficiency Testing (PT), Inter-Laboratory Comparisons (ILC), and Internal Quality Control (IQC) activities.

  • Review QC data, identify deviations, and implement corrective measures.
  • Support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Hands-on expertise in LCMS operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles and mass spectrometry applications.
  • Proficiency in method validation, data interpretation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiar with ISO 17025:2017 standards, audit processes, and quality systems.
  • Good knowledge of statistical analysis, chromatographic techniques, and control charts.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in laboratory software (LCMS data systems) and Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
