Staff Nurse

Role & responsibilities :-
- Provide direct and continuous nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor, record, and interpret vital signs and physiological parameters (e.g., ECG, SPO, ABG, CVP).
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed.
- Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures (intubation, central line insertion, suctioning, etc.).
- Manage ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and other life-support equipment.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control practices at all times.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patients conditions or emergencies.
- Assist physicians during rounds, procedures, and resuscitations (CPR, Code Blue situations).
- Accurately document nursing care, observations, and interventions in patient records.
- Maintain shift-wise reports, handover notes, and incident reports.
- Update and communicate patient progress and concerns to the medical team and relatives (as per policy).
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families regarding care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-ICU/ICCU care, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and cleanliness of ICU/ICCU equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately to the concerned department.
- Maintain stock of emergency drugs, consumables, and supplies.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, physiotherapists, technicians, and other nurses.
- Participate in training programs, clinical rounds, and continuing education.
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and ethical standards.
- Take part in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
Preferred candidate profile
Candidate should have 2 years experience in ICU & ICCU.
