Job Description:K.R. Mangalam University invites applications for the position of Coordinator Game Design and Animation to lead and manage the B.Des. Game Design & Animation program. The ideal candidate will bring strong academic and professional expertise in game development, animation, and interactive media, with demonstrated proficiency in both visual storytelling and technical skills including programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee curriculum delivery, planning, and quality assurance
  • Develop and teach core courses in game design, animation, and interactive programming
  • Mentor students in game development projects and industry-linked internships
  • Integrate programming modules (game logic, interactivity, AI) into course content
  • Lead collaborations with industry and support faculty development
  • Organize game jams, showcases, and co-curricular industry events

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, JavaScript
  • Experience with game engines and tools: Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Blender
  • Understanding of animation workflows, storytelling, and level design
  • Strong knowledge of gameplay mechanics, UI/UX for games, and interactive media
  • Ability to lead teams, coordinate across departments, and manage academic operations

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Game Design, Animation, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant academic or industry experience
  • Strong portfolio of game/interactive projects and/or published work
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
