Java Full Stack Developer 6+yrs

Chennai - Work from Office

Notice Period - Only Immediate to 15Days

6 months contract. Based on performance it will be extended.

About the Role:

We are seeking a strong Java Full Stack Developer to join the project team, contributing across three core products. The role involves working with rich datasets, complex back-end logic, and highly customized front-end implementations. The candidate must be able to translate complex requirements into efficient, user-friendly solutions and demonstrate a problem-solving,

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications (primarily desktop web, not mobile/tablet) for logistics and retail clients.
  • Work with large datasets, performing aggregation, normalization, and optimization to ensure high performance.
  • Build and customize interactive front-end components using DHTMLX, JavaScript, and JSP to support complex features such as map views, drag-and-drop operations, and dynamic tooltips.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between back-end and front-end systems by designing efficient APIs and queries.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze problems and design practical, customer-focused solutions without being limited by technology constraints.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues independently, demonstrating strong ownership and problem-solving ability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying optimizations in both code and database design.

Technical Skills Required :-

Front-end

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), event handling, DOM manipulation, and debugging.
  • Experience customizing UI frameworks such as DHTMLX (or similar) beyond standard usage.
  • Good understanding of CSS and HTML, with focus on building rich desktop web interfaces (not responsive/mobile).

Back-end

  • Strong working knowledge of Core Java (JDK 1.6 and 1.8).
  • Experience with JSP-based applications for rendering views.
  • Understanding of Entity persistence, microservices, and APIs.

Database

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Ability to design optimized queries, data normalization, and handling redundant data storage for performance.

  • Problem-solving mindset – ability to break through challenges rather than depending solely on frameworks or existing solutions.
  • Aptitude to learn and adapt quickly to custom implementations.
  • Ability to visualize and relate solutions to real-world problems, not just provide textbook answers.
  • Self-motivated, ownership-driven, and willing to go beyond a "routine job" mindset.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to legacy systems migration.
  • Experience in logistics/retail domain applications.
  • Familiarity with performance tuning in both Java and SQL.

Work Mode

  • Primarily focused on web applications for desktop users.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
