Sr. DevOps Engineer

• We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who has strong command over all three major cloud providers – AWS, Azure, and GCP – and can independently own end-to-end DevOps for large-scale, high-traffic applications.
• This is a highly hands-on, "one-person DevOps army" type of role: you should be comfortable designing and setting up production-grade infrastructure from scratch, implementing best practices for security, scalability, reliability, and cost, and keeping everything running smoothly with minimal hand-holding.
• You will work across multiple client projects in a services environment, partnering with development, data, and QA teams to build robust CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and operations for mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud & Infrastructure (Multi-Cloud):

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Architect environments for high user base / high traffic applications, including auto-scaling, load balancing, multi-AZ/region setups, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Build and manage cloud networking (VPC/ VNet , subnets, routing, peering, security groups/NSGs, firewalls, VPN/point-to-site, private endpoints, etc.) following best practices.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using Terraform and/or native tools (CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, GCP Deployment Manager) for fully automated, version-controlled environments.
• Continuously optimize cloud resources for performance, reliability, and cost across dev, QA, staging, and production.

CI/CD & Release Engineering :

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and cloud-native CI/CD services across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Standardize build, test, and deployment workflows for microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and front-end applications.
• Implement advanced deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling) for zero/minimal downtime releases.
• Enforce robust release governance, environment promotion flows, and rollback strategies.

Automation & Platform Engineering:

• Develop automation scripts, tools, and utilities using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to eliminate manual tasks and improve reliability.
• Implement configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or similar where applicable.
• Drive an "everything-as-code" culture – infra, configuration, policies, and repeatable patterns/templates.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Architect and manage containerized workloads using Docker in production environments.
• Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-managed) including deployments, services, ingresses, autoscaling, and security hardening.
• Implement best practices for container registry, image lifecycle, vulnerability scanning, and artifact management.

Observability, Reliability & Security:

• Implement and manage centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools available in AWS, Azure, and GCP (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Operations Suite) plus Prometheus/Grafana/ELK/EFK where needed.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs and participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Apply cloud security best practices (IAM/RBAC, least privilege, secrets management, encryption, network security) and support compliance needs for clients.
• Proactively identify reliability and security gaps and drive remediation plans.

Collaboration, Governance & Client Interaction:

• Work closely with development, data engineering, and QA teams to embed DevOps practices into the entire delivery lifecycle.
• Act as the primary DevOps owner for assigned projects – from design and implementation to ongoing support.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and help standardize DevOps practices across the company.
• Interact directly with international clients, understand requirements, propose DevOps architectures, and present solutions clearly in English.
• Contribute to internal DevOps accelerators, templates, and best-practice playbooks that can be reused across projects.
