We have a hybrid work culture. 3 days a week working from the Hyderabad office during core working hours and 2 days working from home.

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead the end-to-end development of the Nasuni Platform, the foundation of our distributed file system and core customer-facing technology. This is a systems-focused leadership role that requires strong technical expertise in distributed systems, storage, Linux internals, and cloud services, combined with proven people leadership and delivery management.

You will be responsible for leading a team of 7 to 10 talented engineers, overseeing design, development, and testing of platform components that power Nasuni's cloud-native file data infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with architects, product managers, QA, customer support, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable, highly available, and resilient platform capabilities.

• Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the Nasuni Platform software and services.

• Manage a team of system/platform engineers responsible for distributed systems, clustering, high availability, upgrades, and integration with hypervisors and cloud platforms.

• Own sprint planning, execution, code reviews, delivery timelines, and quality outcomes.

• Foster a collaborative, outcome-driven, and high-trust engineering culture.

• Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development support to your team.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Customer Support, Architecture) to align development with business goals and customer requirements.

• Champion best practices in systems engineering, distributed architecture, testing, CI/CD, and cloud integration.

• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex system-level issues reported by customers or internal teams.

Systems & Platform Expertise

• Strong experience with Linux internals (CentOS, RHEL, or similar), clustering technologies (pacemaker, corosync, etc.), filesystems (XFS/EXT), and I/O paths.

• Proven track record in building and scaling distributed systems and/or cloud-native services.

• Expertise in C/C++ development with solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and performance tuning.

• Experience with high availability design, non-disruptive upgrades, and resilience strategies in distributed platforms.

• Familiarity with hypervisor platforms (VMware ESX, Hyper-V, KVM, OpenStack).

• Knowledge of cloud storage backends (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Exposure to PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Familiarity with APIs and SDK development for platform components.

Leadership & Delivery

• People Management – Experience mentoring, performance management, career development, and motivating teams.

• Project Management – Expertise in planning, prioritizing, and delivering system software projects on time using Agile/Scrum.

• Conflict Resolution – Skilled in managing interpersonal conflicts and fostering a respectful team culture.

• Decision Making – Comfortable making data-driven, timely decisions under uncertainty.

• Stakeholder Communication – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex system designs to technical and non-technical audiences.

• BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, or MCA.

• 10+ years of overall software development experience in system software, distributed systems, or platform engineering.

• 3+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role, with experience leading system-level engineering teams.

• Prior experience delivering SaaS, enterprise storage, or infrastructure software is a strong plus.
