Job Description

:

A customer engineer is a technical solutions architect with a keen business sense. Working as a bridge between the customer and the internal sales & engineering teams, in providing robust solutions, they also provide for an oversight as the solution gets implemented by the engineering teams. In addition to excellent communication, documentation, presentation, problem solving & collaboration skills, they are required to possess/develop a T-shaped skill set, with a core technical/functional area expertise and an ability to work across a breadth of other related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery to identify client's business & technical requirements.
  • Design effective solutions based on the identified requirements.
  • Document the solutions in a "Statement of Work" template, including solution architecture & scope, effort estimates, and a project plan
  • Present the value proposition of solutions and underlying platforms through whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, and white papers.
  • Enable clients and stakeholders through technology advocacy, briefings, & POCs
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and related events as needed.

Skills Required

  • Programming - Python, Java or JavaScript
  • SQL (MySQL, Oracle, etc.) and/or NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Productivity - Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, etc.
  • Dashboarding - preferred Looker/Looker Studio and/or Tableau, PowerBI
  • Fundamentals of Statistics, Data/dimensional Modeling, Data Quality
  • Problem solving, communication/presentation, documentation & collaboration.

AI SKills Required:

  • Computation libraries - numpy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.
  • ML libraries/frameworks - TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • ML Ops/Platforms - Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker, or Kube Flow
  • Generative AI - NLP/LLMs, Image Models, etc, is an add on.
  • Working knowledge of cleansing & preprocessing datasets/tables

Qualification

Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, BBA/MBA, or related practical experience
