Job Summary:

The Operational Manager for RCC Drain Projects is responsible for managing all on-site operations related to the construction of reinforced cement concrete (RCC) drains. The role involves planning, supervising, and executing daily site activities to ensure timely, safe, and quality completion of work in accordance with design drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute daily operations for RCC drain construction, including excavation, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, curing, and finishing.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
  • Verify setting out, line, and level as per approved drawings before concreting.
  • Ensure the quality of materials such as cement, aggregate, reinforcement steel, and concrete mix as per standards.
  • Monitor manpower deployment, machinery utilization, and material consumption efficiently.
  • Ensure that all work is executed following safety protocols and quality control standards.
  • Coordinate with the design and QA/QC team for inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, work checklists, and material consumption records.
  • Oversee subcontractor activities, verify measurements, and recommend billing approvals based on actual work.
  • Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to achieve targets.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments for site coordination and progress review.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in RCC drain, culvert, or other concrete structure works.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of RCC work procedures and mix design.
  • Understanding of reinforcement detailing, formwork systems, and concreting methods.
  • Familiarity with IS codes and site quality/safety practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD (preferred).
